Pushing The Envelope

so these last 2 weeks great clips was having this incredible sale, giving haircuts for $6.99!! wow!!. now, I understand that girls are a little more particular with their hair so they probably cant relate to how awesome this is. But for me this seemed perfect, but i didnt get one and the sale ended today. So now I'm thinking "you freaking idiot!!, why the heck didn't you do it?"but this may not be all that bad. The only reason I felt a sense of urgency to get it cut is , its longer than it has been in a loooonnnggg time (maybe ever) which really isnt that long compared to my roommate kyle's long locks, but for me I ride a scooter and I have to wear a helmet, and I hate helmet hair so I always wear a hat or a beanie (tabogin for you weirdos) which can get annoying as well. But, with my scootin days coming to an end in a week I dont have to worry about that anymore. which brings me here. I just showered and was lookin at my hair and it looks awesome I mean I can do whatever I want with it, mohawks, fauxhawks, slick it back ( which i will never do in public no matter how cool I think it looks). Then I had the greatest idea. I'm going to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip for a week in march, so I'm not cutting it until after I get back!! great idea right?? I cant grow a mustache which was my first choice so im doing the next best thing. the thought of not cutting my hair seems awesome right now but its gonna be tough for me. This next week is gonna be crucial because if I can make it through one more week of frizzy helmet hair than the next month should be a breeze. I am extremely excited about this. but what about the semi-mustache you ask?? well, it might have to make an appearance.

the comeback

ok... so i haven't posted in more than a while, seeing as there is no internet in freakway I cant say I didn't see this coming. I've been getting some criticism, because this blog is simply railing current "trends", I admit, I might have gotten a little carried away. I've realized that I'm not the best judge of whats "cool" these days because lets face it, I still listen to The Boss, and think Elvis is the best thing in the world and I just discovered Dave Matthews. so I'm not gonna rail anything I promise. Not much has changed since I last posted except that I've started school which is going great, and club is starting up in a week or so which I am extremely pumped for because I've been waiting to get rolling for a long time now. But things haven't gone exactly as planned . Let me explain,I was thinking when school started i would be slammed with homework and so busy all the time that i wouldn't have time to worry about hearing back about my internship, which I was told I would know by January so I guess I didn't get it. which sucks a bit but obviously I wasn't supposed to do it, so no use in worrying about it now. So far homework is "non existent". (which to be honest,I can't believe I'm complaining about) but i cant seem to shake this feeling of "standing still", and constantly find myself in this "tweener stage" (which means things that usually go on, are not going on right now) and I can't figure out why this is driving me nuts!! but like I said club starts very soon and I got exams next week so I'm probably just bored haha!! oh yeah, can i just say that I absolutely love MILLIE!! she is by far one of the coolest dogs I know. so a big thank you to the Greenes for asking me to dog sit for the weekend. any way this was just to break the mold of my previous posts so thats all for now.
One love brothas!! peace.

Rock Band 2

I recently bought Rock Band 2, and I have been searching the web trying to see if theyre is anyone else who thinks that it is just TERRIBLE!! I went back and played a little bit of the first one only to find that it is just as bad. Ive been trying to figure out how they sell a single Copy of that?? I may be speaking for myself but if im going to play a "music" game i want to play music like Metallica, Guns 'n Roses, Van Halen, Whitesnake and songs that at least I am familiar with! I just feel lke Rock Band can be one of the most incredible games if they would have just left out songs by "Panic at the disco","Elvis Costello" But wait they play Bon Jovi so its ok... no offense but we all have our Inner "Rock Star" that games like rock band are the perfect medium for people to satisfy it, but when you think of "rocking out" the bands: Beck, Beastie Boys, Modest Mouse,Squeeze dont exaclty come to mind. For all the hype, I am extremely sorry to say the the makers of Rock Band failed to deliver. It just seems to me that as soon as you get over the fact that theyre is not only a guitar, but a drumset and a microphone!!( which consumers should know by now) That is really all about Rock Band 2 has to offer.

Uggs

I was headed to columbia for about a week for Thanksgiving. I flew out of Greensboro, changed planes in Memphis, then arrived in Columbia, and i can tell you with absolute confidence that at every airport i was at i saw at least 5 girls with those stupid boots on! and on more than one occasion they were within 10 ft. of each other, and girls being girls they of course were exchanging dirty looks and having they're own unique "gait" each step displaying those hideous things. which made me think... why do they feel the need to wear "Uggs" after seeing 3 or 4 girls with the same thing? i always thought girls hated it if they saw another girl wearin the same thing. Its like goin to a halloween party and seeing 3 Dorothy's standing next to each other. Doesn't sound lke too much fun does it? But I guess males have been trying to figure out the mysterious ways of the opposite sex for centuries now, but those things are everywhere!

the First

hello world,
I have been playing with the idea of starting a blog for the last couple months now and finally came around to doing it. this has been a crazy year for me, it has brought me to places i would have never thought possibe. its crazy to think how different of a person i was this time last year. Lets see, i was working at a bar dealling with intoxicated columbia missourians, to spending some time in a cell, to pushing my idea of "work" to limits ive never even heard of in Jasper, Ga.
the events that transpired in Jasper ,Ga at Sharptop were without a doubt life changing, I now live in Winston NC with 3 awesome guys leading Young Life, Pretty Crazy. if that is not evidence that God wants to work in everyones lives then I dont know what is. oh yea, i have a scooter by the name of priscilla. So i literally just got the call that i have been picked to be a YL leader, which is a huge relief because this week i was pretty anxious and hopeful that this would all work out. so now that it has, i can definitely feel the closing of a chapter in my life, and the beginning of a new one. all the things form getting arrested to out of the blue deciding to do summer Staff in Ga, to moving to winston. it was all leading to this moment where i feel...Satisfied. Not the i just ate 2 Chipotle burritoes satisfaction, but "I went where god wanted me to go". This is real "satisfaction" (for lack of a better word). So this was the first check back Daily (hopefully) for more "thoughts".
